Whirlpool ED5GVEXVD Review

Whirlpool ED5GVEXVD

My Whirlpool ED5GVEXVD review: I’m normally not a huge fan of side by side refrigerators, but the Whirlpool ED5GVEXVD seems to grow on you. It looks great, and has a fair amount of features. Basically, it’s a mid-range refrigerator - priced around $800. I really like the spacious 25.1 cubic ft interior. The glass shelves and adjustable door bins are a nice touch. As with nearly all side by side models, this one includes a thru-the-door ice maker and water dispenser. The dial temperature controls are easy to use and pretty accurate. As I mentioned earlier, the stainless steel textured exterior looks great.

So, I’ve gone over the good parts of the Whirlpool ED5GVEXVD refrigerator - now onto the “bad”. One thing really stands out - the loud ice-maker. This is a pretty common issue with a lot of side by side models, so I can’t say it’s just this model. However, it does get annoying to hear it clang every so often. Also, some users comment on the build quality. Sure, it’s not made of the highest quality materials - but most refrigerators aren’t at this price level. Even with these few issues, I still give this Whirlpool model a 4/5 stars - mainly because of the price and sleek look.
