The Samsung RFG293 refrigerator is spacious and has a number of great features - but, is it worth $1,700? The Samsung RFG293 is a french door model with a huge 29 cubic ft of space. It’s available in black or stainless steel colors. The LED lighting is very bright, almost too bright if you’re coming out for a midnight snack. However, the LED lighting does emit less heat and conserve some energy - a good reason why this model is Energy Star rated. The twin cooling system is an innovative idea, which I really like. Basically it keeps the freezer air separate from the refrigerator air (the freezer air can be kept dryer).

For all of its good qualities, the Samsung RFG293 refrigerator is missing a pretty standard feature - a water dispenser. These days, you’ll almost always find a water dispenser on a “higher-end” french door model, but not this one. It does, however, have an ice maker in the freezer section. So, back to my original question - is this refrigerator worth the money? Well, I think it’s a pretty average model, with nothing too fancy on board. But because of the huge amount of space and twin cooling system, I think it would work well for larger families. I’m giving this model a 4/5 star rating.
