Refrigerator With Lock

Refrigerator with Lock

A refrigerator with lock is exactly as it sounds - the door locks up so others can’t get in. There aren’t too many manufacturers that makes these machines, but the refrigerator with lock models are still fairly popular. This is especially true if you have kids you don’t want getting into certain food, co-workers you don’t wish to share with or even in dorm rooms - these lock and key models work great. Below I’ve listed 2 of the best lock refrigerators, based on user reviews.

The Summit FFAR-10LAB is a 10 cubic ft model with a high-tech keypad lock refrigerator door. It was actually built for labs, however it can be used anywhere. It’s an all-refrigerator unit, so there is no freezer. Users give this model very high ratings, but most complain about 2 things: it gets too cold and the cost is a little high (around $1100).

The EdgeStar CRF150SS is a compact model, which is great for small areas and dorm rooms. It’s only 1.5 cubic ft, so don’t expect to fit too much in the compartment. While it doesn’t have a ton of space, the cool thing about this refrigerator is that you can control the temperature from 0 degrees all the way up to 40 degrees. This means you can make it either a refrigerator or a freezer. The CRF150SS has a stainless steel exterior, so it looks great. It also comes with a built-in lock and two keys.

Alternatively, if you want to make your current refrigerator lock up, there is always the option to buy a locking device that attaches to it. These units range in price a lot, depending on the quality. Don’t expect the cheaper devices to last too long.
