Maytag MSD2572VEW Review

Maytag MSD2572VEW

Maytag MSD2572VEW review: When you first look at the 25.2 cubic ft Maytag MSD2572VEW refrigerator, nothing really stands out. However, on closer inspection, there are actually a good amount of features on this decent-priced (currently $760) refrigerator. The white exterior is fairly plain, although I must admit that it’s one of the better looking shades of white available. A few of it’s most prominent features include: a tall single pad water and ice dispenser, Energy Star qualified, two FreshLock crispers, 3 adjustable spill-catcher glass shelves, smaller ice cubes which can fit into water bottles, PuR water and ice filters, back-lit slide temperature controls, and a control lockout option. I also really like all the storage space in the both the freezer and fridge doors.

Unfortunately, there are a couple things about the Maytag MSD2572VEW refrigerator I wish could be changed. Like a lot of side-by-side models, this one has a tendency to spit out crushed ice over the cup and onto the floor. Another issue I have is with the crispers, which can be a little hard to slide out sometimes. The buttons on the exterior are fairly hard to press (water and ice, etc). It’s not impossible to do, but just hard enough to make it annoying. A couple users complained about the noise level, but I don’t think that’s an issue for most people. Overall, the Maytag MSD2572VEW model is a decent fridge - but, the price is what makes it a good buy. I’m giving it a 4/5 star rating.
