Here’s our mini Maytag MBR2256KES review: At just under 22 cubic ft, the Maytag MBR2256KES refrigerator is a beautiful, yet fairly simple model. The design of this fridge is nothing new - it has a basic bottom-freezer look to it. However, the stainless steel exterior really makes it “pop”. It’s currently priced around $1200, so it’s not too expensive. In fact, I think there are more features on this model, than on some more expensive competitor refrigerators. Here are some of it’s best features: Energy Star rated, spill-catcher shelves, silencing system, glide out freezer drawer, dual cooling system, gallon-plus door bins, and a factory installed ice maker. Also, I have to mention that there is a light in the freezer (not that it’s a huge feature). Unfortunately, on a lot of cheaper models, they do away with freezer lighting.

Although the Maytag MBR2256KES refrigerator gets positive ratings overall, it does have a few minor issues.  Even though it has a silencing system, I’ve run across some users who say it can still be a little noisy. Also, the stainless steel will attract fingerprints - like any SS appliance does. A couple other things that buyers complain about: the gliding drawers don’t glide too well when full, the freezer is a little small, and the ice container isn’t easily removable. Of course, there are many more users who don’t have anything to complain about. So, even with these few issues, I’m giving the Maytag MBR2256KES a 4/5 star rating. It’s a good looking refrigerator with a lot of extra features for the money.
