Kenmore 59422 Refrigerator Review

Kenmore 59422 Refrigerator

My Kenmore 59422 refrigerator review: If you’ve been looking at Sears’ refrigerator selection lately, you’ve probably come across the Kenmore 59422 side by side model. While I do like the price and a couple other things about this fridge, I can’t say that it’s my favorite model on the floor. Well, I’ll first go over what I do like about it: Energy Star qualified, the PUR water filtration system works great, it’s a decent size - 25.1 cubic ft, it has adjustable shelves/bins, there’s a gallon-size container in door,  and I really like the $800 price tag.

The Kenmore 59422 refrigerator does have its weaknesses though. Unfortunately, a decent amount of people who buy this model have trouble with it not cooling very well. It seems to be prone to fan cooling problems. Another thing is that it seems a little cheaply made. I know it’s not a deluxe refrigerator or anything, so I guess this isn’t a huge deal. I actually thought the Kenmore 59422 ran a little louder than I was expecting. Also, be aware that you’ll probably have to change the water filter about every 6 months - which will add an additional $60/year. Overall, I give this refrigerator a 3/5 star rating - mainly because of the trouble a lot of people have with the cooling fan.
