The Amana ABB2221WEW refrigerator is a bottom freezer model, with nearly 22 cubic ft of space. The all-white exterior is nothing too exciting, but that’s just my opinion. In this review of the Amana ABB2221WEW fridge, I’ll go over the strengths and weaknesses of this model, then decide if it’s worth the $800 price tag. First off, here’s a quick rundown of the features found on this unit: gallon door storage, two humidity-controlled crispers, a gliding freezer basket, Temp Assured freshness controls, dairy center, reversible door swing, glass shelves, and it’s also Energy Star compliant. I wouldn’t say there is anything on this refrigerator that is too unique, but it does at least cover the basics, plus a few extras. I do really like the freshness controls, they’re very easy to use and understand.
OK, onto the negative aspects of the Amana ABB2221WEW refrigerator. For one thing, it seems to be a little noisier than a lot of other units of this price and size. I also wish it had a factory-installed ice maker. On the other hand, it would probably make the freezer seem pretty cramped if one was in there. It also would have been nice to have a compartment for eggs. There isn’t a lot else to complain about with this unit, mainly because it’s a pretty basic model to begin with. Overall, I do like the Amana ABB2221WEW refrigerator – it does an admirable job at what it was designed to do. I’m giving this model a 4 / 5 star rating.
